In Comme Saturne, Yto Barrada approaches the history of textile as way of reading the history of the contemporary world. Moving between revolution and industrialization, labour and ecology, collective knowledge and systems of power, she traces how seemingly simple materials and processes can carry much larger histories. Natural dyes, weaving, fading, folding and wear become ways of looking at transformation itself — of materials, societies and the ideas that shape them.
